I won't be posting videos regularly. This one actually took about a half a year to put together, though it wasn't like I was working on it everyday; sometimes a month or two went by without me doing any work with it. Part of the reason was that it was a bit disheartening that my original videos last December came out 240p and in a small box. I got it to 720p and in full screen, and hopefully I will be able to keep it at that standard if I make any other movies.
I tried to mix informative, funny, and wishful thinking, although in hindsight I wish I had focused more on one. It actually started as informative with a little tongue in cheek here and there, but when I started the "How to unlock the Axe Murder job" clip, it got a bit less factual.
As I started working on this months before I joined this shell, you will see both of my shells represented via the ls linkpearls, though The Social Get Together is my main.

I tried to post another RI video, but ran into some issues. It is more or less a congrats to SMN for both winning the poll and being the first new job introduced, as well as a look at the final days of FF XIV. If I can fix it without breaking the rhythm too badly, as well as fix some really bad spelling errors (even after looking at it at least 10 times in some scenes, I still missed some errors until after I posted it) I will repost.
If I don't get an opportunity to repost it, let me say what the video said at the end, and say thank you, and I can't wait to see you all again in ARR. Although I will still check the forums from time to time to see any news that may come up.

OK, so I have renamed Random Information to Kat Snacks. RI was a bit too cold for a title, so I thought a name change would be nice for these short clips; snack size if you will.
This video is my own goodbye for Final Fantasy XIV, version 1. I thought it came out better than RI 1, and at least it was a bit more focused, and coincidentally, less random. It looks like I'm going to have to start deleting some of the clips I've recorded, especially if I carry Kat Snacks into ARR (write your own joke), since these video clips take a surprisingly a large amount of space.
On a ARR, can't wait to try out SMN; just in case you couldn't tell from the RI 1 or Kat Snacks video. I do hope they add some more classes/jobs for the launch of ARR, especially BST, but only time will tell. But at minimum, I will have at least one pet job to play around with.
Thanks again everybody, and I'll see you again in Final Fantasy XIV: ARR.

Random Information returns. With a new poll up top and now with 100% less video! Because of that whole NDA thing.
I guess there is a correction needed in my previous post. There will not be one new pet job in ARR, but two. It looks like Scholar will be using a pet. So Arcanist will have Carbuncle, Scholars will have Faries, and Summoners will have Eggies (couldn't find an official spelling, so I apologize if I got the SMN one wrong.) So for those who want to go with a pet class what will it be?
EDIT: Click onto the pictures to see the full pic, at a reasonable size.

For this question, I have removed the previous poll for the preferred pet job, and have replaced it with out of the confirmed pet class/jobs, which are you most interested in? I voted for Scholar myself as I like the described healing style (regens) and since I work for a school, I thought it was appropriate.
Some random thoughts from this past week's Beta.
Clicking onto your linkshell is not enough to join the channel. You have to actually select a command to equip it. I didn't realize until it was half past Saturday that I was essentially talking to myself -.- . The other linkshell I had equipped probably thought I was acting a bit odd giving answers to questions that were not asked and greeting people that were not on that shell, at least if anyone was on it that is since it stayed pretty quite.
To the point above, a ls crest would really be nice to see which one I have on at any given time.
I have really been enjoying Pugilist. By accident, I used Howling Fist for the first time, and thought I threw some sort of bomb. The class story has been pretty fun so far though.
With cracked materia, some of my best gear is no longer my best gear. I can't wait for phase 4 so I can do some adjusting.
On the gamepad, tapping R1 gave very quick access to other commands that I could not fit on one set. I can see this being very handy if you want to keep one set for low level actions for level sync, regular actions, travel, tank, DD, etc.
Pretty sure the proper spelling is Egi since Yoshida said it was based on Final Fantasy XII. Though I couldn't tell you if the plural form is Egis or Egies. =P
Out of the three classes/jobs I'd probably have to go with Scholar too, simply because I enjoy healing roles. Not sure if it's enough to pull me from WHM yet, but I do love that book writing animation ala Death Note.
