I think Shira pieced together ours from best price point sales between there and maybe Tiger Direct. It's been a few years though.
If you go this route read up on it first to do it right and not fry your system before even turning it on.
Reddit has a subreddit where you can state your needs, budget, pieces you might have already and request help building a pc with links where to buy parts. /r/buildapcforme
Newegg is definitely the place to go if you want to build your own PC, and quite a lot cheaper than buying an already manufactured one. Though I wouldn't really recommend building one if you haven't done it before. It's not that hard, and there are plenty of tutorials, but parts tend to fail very easily if you're not careful. Shorts as well if you have a lot of carpet in your home.
Though if you still want to build one, Reddit is definitely a good idea.
Spent 1500$ building a nice rig all parts from newegg and build it myself useing those guide's. Tho had some issue's doing it myself (fired the 1st MB) im happying with doing it myself than premade PC just alot of tricky work tho Scored 18,331 on benmark today!
Sadly it isn't available anymore (I got it about July 2009) Only thing I've upgraded on it was I got a better NVIDIA card, otherwise it's what I picked up there.

18,331? Wow, you can power a city with that.
Messing up the motherboard is one of the easiest mistakes to make, and one of the hardest to troubleshoot. Which is why I would personally be against building if you're unsure.
>.> That score makes me wanna hide my poor tower under a rock, a really big rock. I run like 2.6 ~ 3.4k depending on settings and resolution atm but have a pretty old pc. Looking to upgrade eventually but she works for now.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I dont want to build my own, because my luck I will fry it. I am surrounded by carpet and I will probably sneeze and kill it. I am looking into new egg now.
But sadly they dont ship to China. Bah! Guess I will have to visit the big golf ball mall. Its a computer store made up of a few floors. I just dont want to buy one here. I will visit the the on Friday see what they suggest. Then I will tell you guys and ask for opinions^.^
I was going to suggest buy it when you visit the states next but realized I have no idea what the shipping/packing/insurance on a tower pc to China would be. If you actually want a tower while you're over there you probably want to straight up buy one there. Much as I hate saying it, it'll probably be dirt cheep for you there so get something that'll last you while you're over there and if it's too pricy to ship back when/if you move back to US it's not so rough a blow either.
You could probably use the sites above to get ideas on builds and just take them with you to the golf ball mall.
It is weird to reference golf ball mall with computers.
